Thoughts:  Never a good sign when I had to just turn this off and go find some comfort music because the work I was doing needed my attention and this was stressing me out.  Couldn't handle "New Age Rage" I guess.  Also funny, at least to me, that I significantly preferred the instrumental movie soundtrack he did to the tunes with his vocals.

Mr. Slick is the drummer for Dr. Dog, so he'll already be hanging at the Festival.  Seems like it would be more fun to just hang out and go see some music, but I guess he gets a double payday!  He began playing drums at age 5, and appeared with his sister in a 2005 documentary called Rock School.  He's performed with a ton of other artists as well, including playing the drums on the Taylor Swift song "You All Over Me."

Lots of music, but very light on popularity.  2013's Out of Habit has zero listed streams.  Which I think still means that each song has less than 1,000, but still looks weird.  No song on the 2019 Bullfighter EP has more than 5k streams.  2019's Palisades did better and the top track on there is called "The Dirge," with 40k streams.

That is actually pretty good.  Way better than the newer stuff he has been doing.  Depressing for sure, but the underlying song itself has a good vibe.  Like a Band of Horses sort of thing.

He later married Natalie Prass, a great singer in her own right, and she started appearing on some of his songs.  His top streamer from 2020's Wiseacre, for one.  "Closer to Heaven" has 67k streams.

She improves that song by a million percent.  But that video is freaking terrible.  Finally, you get 2024's New Age Rage, which likewise has very few streams.  The top track is "Anxious to Please" with 46k streams.

Sounds like Hall & Oates for a bit.  I definitely do not care for this album.  Up and down experience with this guy.  It's not truly terrible or anything, but I didn't find anything in here that I just loved either.  I'll watch him jam with Dr. Dog, but leave his solo show alone.
