Thoughts:  Waaaaaaaay late addition to the poster here.  So this review will be very quick.  An interview I read says that: "Tommy Floegel (guitar/sax) and Will Duson (keys/backup vocals) met in college at Belmont University, but didn’t begin making music together until early 2023 when Tommy moved to Austin and Will noticed a familiar face posted up at Barton Springs." That is cute.  They added in the rest of the band over a little time, starting all of this in 2023.  The big stress at the start of the band was that their original singer ditched the band just 11 days before their first ever live show.  So, they scoured facebook, craigslist, whatever - using the hashtag #atxsinger, they found Gigi Hess, who has a super strong voice (and so it seems crazy she was just chilling out there...)

Kind of a disco-tinged rock and funk thing.  No track has more than 10k streams.  No album, just a handful of singles.  The currently most popular is "What a Man," that I was sort of hoping would end up being an En Vogue cover, but instead has a sort of Native American chant vibe in there.  6,621 streams.

As I kept listening, these dudes really lucked out to find this singer.  Her voice is 10x the power of the background grooves.  The music overall is forgettable to me, but she keeps making me take notice as I listen through the catalog.
