Thoughts:  Lotsa Austin artists down here in the bottom dregs of the poster.  This is the alias of local DJ and producer Lucas Ogden.  HIs tiny bio says the following: "While he has been a musician since his early childhood, he began producing music in his college dorm room. He soon after ventured to Los Angeles to attend Icon Collective to continue to hone his craft. Drawing inspiration from the likes of ODESZA and Flume to name a few, he aims to create continuity and a recognizable sound from seemingly different sounding tracks."  I love that first bit - was he dropping sick beats as a toddler?  Or does this mean he got piano lessons like everyone else when he was young?

I went down a rabbit hole about the Icon Collective as well: "Icon Collective was a premier Los Angeles-based music production and artist development school, notable for shaping the careers of major electronic dance music (EDM) artists. Founded in 2005, the school operated a physical campus in Burbank/LA and offered online programs, focusing on "the artist mindset" rather than just technical audio engineering."  It was also apparently called the MIT of Bass Music.  Suuuuuure.  It closed suddenly in 2025 due to financial difficulties.  Because anyone could make these songs using Claude?

About ten total songs on Spotify - no albums, no EPs, just singles - and several of the early ones have very few streams.  But his 2025 single called "keeping u close" boasts an impressive 439k streams.

When he said he aims to create a recognizable sound, did he just mean that it would sound like every other house musician ever?  Because mission accomplished.  I'm being rude - I am sure that this set, in the little Tito's tent, would be a perfectly enjoyable and sweaty start to the day.

His other top streamer is "247" with 183k streams.

Man, those old school calculators with the printout feature were a good time when I was little.  Trying to get it to write amazingly cool stuff like 80085, and then leaving it behind for the owner to find it?  Height of hilarity.  But yeah, another EDM song that sounds like all the other EDM songs to me.  I would not go out of my way for this one.
