Lido

One Liner: Remix guy and electronic "rap" chameleon.
Wikipedia Genre: Electronica, wonky, trip hop, hip-hop, jersey club.  (just typing those makes me feel like an ancient human being who is being left behind by music).
Spotify Says Similar To: Hoodboi and Wave Racer
Home: Norway

Poster Position: none, new addition.

Slot: Sunday at 3:15 pm

Thoughts: Lido replaces SuperDuperKyle, which is honestly too bad, because Kyle was kind of fun.  I probably was going to go see Whitney instead, but you can't act like iSpy isn't a fun song.
This guy has apparently cycled through several monikers, including Lil'P, LidoLido, and Trippy Turtle.  Those may be the saddest collection of rapper/DJ nicknames of all time.  Wikipedia claims that he is a rapper first and foremost, but his most popular streaming songs are all definitely remixes of other people's work or EDM songs.  This junk gives me a damn headache.  His currently most popular track is a remix of Portugal. The Man's "Feel It Still," and he has an album/EP thing called Everything Remixed that is one of those with multiple remixes of the same song.  I hate those.  He has one album, 2016's Everything, which is definitely less rap and more electronic noise.  The top track from the album is "Murder," which clocks in at 1.4 million streams.
Yeah, I wouldn't call anything going on there rap or hip-hop.  How about his most recent track, here is "Not Enough (feat. THEY.)," which already has 1.8 million streams after release in June 2017.
Closer to a rap, but honestly more like New Jack Swing shit from 1990 instead of something new and modern.  I also am SO TIRED of people rapping that a woman makes them "feel some type of way."  WTF does that even mean?  I'm cranky.  This music has officially made me cranky.  I'll likely go find a snack during this hour at the Fest.
