Madison Ryann Ward

One Liner: Killer voice, but only one single so far to go with it.
Wikipedia Genre: No Wikipedia, from this one song, I'll say soul or R&B?
Home: LA

Poster Position: 21

Both Weekends.

Thoughts:  She only has one song that is all her own - 2018's "Mirror."  She also appears on a song by someone named John Splithoff, but she just has a verse on there (which doesn't really indicate her style of music, just his).  And her voice is a freaking national treasure.  just over 4 million streams.
I mean, the song itself is kind of whatever, but damn, her voice is powerful.  This article has a lot of interesting tidbits about her, such as:
  • volleyball player from University of Oklahoma.
  • 6 feet tall.
  • Rick Rubin producing her album.
  • Discovered in college for belting out Aretha in the cafeteria, and used to make her dad's golfing buddies cry because her child version of the Star Spangled Banner was so good.
  • Backup vocals for Zac Brown Band and Lukas Nelson & the Promise of the Real.
They mention this one in that article, Lukas Nelson and the Promise of the Real was recording at the same studio when Ward was there to cut the vocals for "Mirror," and Nelson was blown away by her voice, so they made this song on their album into a duet.  "Let Go Of Your Plans."

I don't know that I'd necessarily go see her based on the strength of that one song, but I also sort of feel like I need to go see her so that I can say I was there when she did her first festival appearance.  With a voice like that she should become a star.

Anyone who spells their name "Ryann" sucks.
