Silent Disco

Uh, so if you look at the schedule for the first weekend, you'll note that the Tito's Stage ends each night with a two hour block called Silent Disco.  I was hoping that was some amazing new band, but instead it is apparently a really interestingly weird way for people to have a silent jam session together.  Their blog talks about "Headphone Concerts" as a way to allow everyone to listen to the same tunes, but do it in a silent way.  Seems like that would look eerie as shit, a bunch of people all dancing to the same thing when it appears to be silent for everyone else.  Heebie jeebies.

Here is a promo video for it.
I wonder if they always have the fire dancing bikini girls?  And here is one from NYC, to show you what it sounds like to everyone else - a bunch of drunk ass people yelling out song lyrics:
Sounds like hell on earth to me.  WAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOH!  LIIVIN ONA PRAYER WOOOOOOOOOOAHHHAHH! *drunk girls jumping up and down while holding onto each other and they topple over on your legs and make you spill your $10 Heineken*

But look at about 9:30 on this video, at people just quietly jamming out together to the same thing while no one else can hear.  I kind of dig that.
Sooooo, that shit is weird, but I kind of like it.  Maybe I'll skip a few minutes of the Killers to go check this out.  MIght be worth it jsut to see what it is like.
