Arya

One Liner: One of four artists that share this name

Wikipedia Genre: No Wikipedia - either lo-fi electronic, EDM, bedroom pop, or R&B-ish stuff
Home: Everywhere

Poster Position: Level 4 (22)
Weekend One Only.
Saturday.

Thoughts:  Sometimes an artist has a name so generic, it is hard to know which thing I should be listening to.  Searching on Spotify, there are four different artists who identify as Arya, and one that is Arya Starr.  Now that ACL's website doesn't provide any biography info about their artists, I can't be sure which one of these is the real one.  I guess we'll just check them all out?

Arya #1 is a bearded Indian dude from Surat, India.  He makes lo-fi electronica, like his most popular tune - "A Cluster of Stars."  1.5 million streams.

Feels like something on one of those Study Time playlists.  Would be very boring at the Festival.

Arya #2 is an EDM-sounding guy.  His Spotify bio is unhelpful as to where he is from or what he is up to.  But here is a super generic dance track called "Losing."  925k streams.

I have no understanding of how a song like that has almost a million streams and other really good artists get nothing.  I guess I could see this being something the Fest would bring in?

Arya #3 is a bedroom pop dude.  His Spotify bio says he makes music for your girlfriend.  The top track absolutely sounds like a crappy DIY thing that would be on the ACL poster recently because it had a run on TikTok.  This is "Hangover," with 1.7 million streams.

Arya #4 is a female, but her top song isn't available on YouTube ("Love for the Weekend" - generic R&B-ish stuff?), so I am guessing that she is not the one who is playing the Fest.  That leads me to believe that we are looking at #3 for the Festival, and my suggestion would be to find something else to do with that time.
