Asleep at the Wheel (2018)

One Liner: Every year's favorite western swing purveyors
Wikipedia Genre: Ameripolitan, Texas country, western swing (Ameripolitan is a new one for me).
Home: Austin, Texas

Poster Position: 20

Slot: Noon on Friday, as usual.
Weekend One Only.

Thoughts: Well, if they aren't going to release any new music, then I'm not going to re-do my review.  Suck it.  Here is the 2017 one:
They haven't released any new music, they still just crank up the excellent western swing stuff like they always have, and everything is all good.  Warms my heart that C3 continues to include them on the bill each year, despite the fact that attendance at their show probably wanes each year as more of the true Austinites at the festival die off and are replaced with 14 year olds vaping weed oil and asking where to find the EDM tent.

Nothing much new to say, with no new music, so here are prior year's reviews:

Go see, 'em, kids.  They play the best renditions of Bob Wills tunes since the King himself.

Oh, wait, since then I've seen that they have a few new singles from 2018.  But until the whole album comes out I'm being stubborn.  This one has the Avetts, so its kinda cheating, but whatever.
