Both Weekends.  Sunday.

Thoughts:  Marcus Oliver Johnstone Mumford is such a British name.  He's the lead singer of Mumford and Sons, of course.  Something I did not know - he is married to actress Carey Mulligan.  For a long time I thought Carey Mulligan was Katie Holmes.  Other fun facts - he was a childhood pen pal with Mulligan and they reconnected as adults (and were married soon after working on Inside Llewyn Davis together).  Other fun fact, he was actually born in California, to English parents.  Those parents are international leaders of a "neocharismatic evangelical Christian denomination" called Vineyard Churches.  Huh.

Anyhoo, old Marcus is doing a solo thing, with an album to be released September 16, 2022.  Just right before the festival!  It is supposed to contain collaborations from Pheobe Bridgers and Brandi Carlile, which sounds dope.  Just one single so far from the forthcoming disc, the quiet-to-loud "Cannibal."  417k streams so far.
Sad damn song, but I'm sure it feels cathartic to holler it out at the end.  Always weird to me when a lead singer does a solo album - that tune could easily just be a M&S tune, right?

He also gets props for being the guy behind the Ted Lasso theme song.  I never knew it was a full on song!  1.7 million streams.
Such a great show - really the best thing ever on TV.  HIs most streamed song, but a million miles, is a tune from Inside Llwyenydyn Davis (where he was the voice of a dead character, but not actually in the flick).  "Fare thee Well (Dink's Song)."  38.4 million streams.
Lovely little tune.  They did such a good job with that movie making it be true to the era, all the way down to the music.

Weird to do a review on a guy who really doesn't have very much personal music out, when I know what he'll sound like though because of his insanely popular other music.  But, I'd go watch this guy do his thing (too bad it is on Sunday night!).
