Both Weekends.

Thoughts:  Interesting cat.  The first song made me think that I was going to get a treat, as the guy's nimble guitar picking fingers fly all over the place to create a pretty interesting track.  Then his next tune sounds like generic electronic alt R&B.  Then his third song sounds like John Mayer.  What is this?

With only 5 songs, its hard to say what his sound is really going to be.  The guy's real name is Alejandro Aranda, and he was the runner up on the 17th season of American Idol.  On that show, he apparently set himself apart from others by frequently performing original songs, instead of just singing covers.  That being said, he still covered Beiber, Post Malone, and Drake on one hand, and then Bob Marley, Queen, Coldplay, and Simon & Garfunkle on the other.  He did so well that Pomona California has declared May 19 "Alejandro Aranda Day."  Which is pretty wild.  Here is the American Idol audition.

The expressions of the judges, and I know they are paid to do this, but are classic.  Just like, where the hell did this dude come from who is playing an original song that is better than anything we have ever done?  Very cool.  Weird that they make him go grab the piano, when he had obviously planned to just do the guitar song.  Seems kinda shitty.  And then he just hammers it - with all these little trills and the whole thing.  Who is that country idiot on the end?  That guy is a flipping idiot.  Forrest Gump?  WTF?  He also just said his inspirations are Trent Reznor, Chopin, and Bach.  Also, WTF?

This is his newest track, released Aug. 9, and a new video that just came out as well.  "Cholo Love."  I don't like the reverb effect they are putting on the voice in the video version - they didn't do that in the regular/studio version.

Sounds freaking great.  Not so sure about the name - Scarypoolparty is going to limit his success, in my opinion, but he definitely has a great voice and a ton of talent.
