Belle & Sebastian

Yawn.  You’ve probably heard a song or two from these cats, they have that gentle, nostalgic sound that lots of movie people like to have in their soundtracks.  I can’t remember which one, but I feel like these guys were on the Royal Tennenbaums soundtrack, but it could have been a different Wes Anderson flick, and maybe the Juno soundtrack as well or maybe it was Garden State?  It’s pretty stuff, but I just cannot imagine this show as a headliner style slot at ACL.  Maybe if they do one of those 2 pm Sunday afternoon chilled shows with everyone just sitting down and napping on the great lawn, but otherwise I think this one is going to be a massive buzz kill.  Solidly pretty music – another good one to study or read by the pool to, but not so sure about rocking out with a crowd of thousands.  Most popular one is called Piazza, New York Catcher, which is just as cute as their sound:
