Thoughts:  Reminds me of Janelle Monae, now that I'm a very knowledgeable alternative R&B knower.  Not as fun, not as funky, not as weird, but in that same wheelhouse.  She's got a 2016 EP (Moon Shoes, with 10 songs, so that seems more like an actual album than an EP), a 2017 EP (Midnight Moonlight, with 6 songs), and then a 2018 EP (Crush, with 5 songs).  Her most streamed tune is from that first EP, this is "Free Room," with 9.3 million streams.

Sounds like one of those sunny Anderson.Paak tunes, all happy organ and hand claps.  

She toured with Noname (a fellow ACL 2018 artist) and SZA (one I thought might come this year), and I suspect that getting to tour with SZA got her on the map for C3.  She even has a tune called "Computer Luv," which definitely sounds like something Monae would have released about an android boning a computer.  

Her second most streamed tune, from the new EP, is called "Sticky," and has 6.2 million streams.

That has more of the Erykah Badu/ Janelle Monae sound, especially the little aside sounds.  The main vocals are almost secretive sounding, like she wants to seduce me without anyone knowing.  Pretty groovy tune.

Can't say I'd be inclined to go see this one.
