One Liner: Spanish-language EDM and hip hop from Puerto Rico

Thoughts: I'm about the last guy who should be reviewing this one.  Totally in Spanish, and electronic dance music/rap type stuff.  Spotify says his real name is Rene Perez Joglar, and he is half of a famous rap group called Calle 13 that has won 24 Latin Grammys (which is an amazing number).  According to that bio, their music was initially vilified until some, like the Puerto Rican governor, admitted that the socially conscious themes had opened their eyes.  Interesting.  Never heard of them either.

Only one album, 2017's Residente, and then some singles.  The top song is one of those singles, released in 2018, "Sexo," which already has 14.9 million streams.

Yeah, alright.  Fun song, good song of the summer-type vibe in there.  As for what is says?  Here is the first verse, according to the Internet:

Well, howdy there.  But I'm still not quite sure what the song is about.  Seems like there are so many layers to the hidden meanings.  I think its really a deep misunderstanding about the presence of humanity in the everyday, where the human condition is failing to perceive subtle cues that are relatable in mundane and basic actions that so often go ignored in this day and age.  Or, alternatively, its all about boning.  Maybe the latter.

His second-most streamed song is more of a ballad, "Desencuentro," which translates to "mismatch."  13.6 million streams.

Very sensual.  Well, until everything goes to shit in that poor restaurant.  Again, no clue what they are saying, but I like the video.  I won't go see this guy, but if you are into it, I hope that you have a smashing good time.
