Thoughts:  That Wikipedia genre list is weird as hell.  I wouldn't categorize anything in this catalog as blues rock or metal.  Real name is Norma Monserrat Bustamante Laferte.  I have no clue what any of these songs are about, so hard to judge much in here.  But if these songs had English lyrics, I'd say they were lame.  As it is, with Spanish lyrics, they sound kind of cool, but not cool enough for me to want to see this live.

Also, because I'm a child, every time I read this band name I think it is French for "I farted."  Pretty sure "Mon" means mine, and 99% sure that "La Ferte" means the fart.  This concludes my French lesson.

Her top song is "Amarrame," with 91.7 million streams, and a Grammy for "Best Alternative Song" at the 18th Latin GRAMMYs from 2017.  Not sure how they judge "alternative" at those awards, but judge for yourself.
Sounds like a lot of other latin music I've heard in the past - that bass line, the shakers and other drum bits.  I have no clue what I am talking about.  Also of note, her Spotify bio is in Spanish, so I can't tell you anything about that either.  But Wikipedia tells me that she was a judge on the Chilean version of the X Factor, so she must have some Adam Levine-level notoriety back home.

Several albums.  2011's Desechable (more of a Spanish pop punk sound), 2013's Tornasol (which includes a song called "Orgasmo para Dos," which I really wish I could understand - also this is the most rock and roll of any of these albums), 2015's Mon Laferte (Vol. 1) (feels more traditional music), and 2017's La Trenza (includes that video up above and more traditional-sounding tunes).  Her second most popular track is from that 2015 album, here is "Tu Falta De Querer," with 85.2 million streams
I honestly don't like anything about that tune.  Just sounds cheesy.  According to Wikipedia, that title means "Want your lack of."  I hope she wants my lack of pleasure, because she's getting it all.

If you love this lady, I hope she puts on a hell of a show for you.  No thanks.
