RF Shannon

One Liner: Relaxed tunes like My Morning Jacket with a twang

Weekend One Only.

Thoughts: This guy was added in recently - didn't see him on the poster back in July but today, when they announced the schedule, I see him snuck in there.  Super chilled indie rock with a country bend, kind of like a My Morning Jacket-type sound.  I dig it.  His top track is "Tooth Ache," with only 37k streams.
That is a nice little groove.  I'm on board with what he is laying down there.

The Spotify bios have changed from being a real article about the band, written by some third party who had tried to figure out what the band is about, to being marketing drivel submitted by the artist or their agent.  So instead of a cogent discussion of who this guy is, you get a note that the new album "lives in the sonic space between desert blues and old school R&B."  What the hell is that on about?  Whatever, I still like the tunes.  No wikipedia, so I don't know much about the dude, but these tunes are kind of country (mainly bc of the pedal steel) but also kind of quiet and intimate.  Like he's singing the song in your ear as you dance to it.
Then, his second-most streamed tune (20k) is "Had a Revelation," from his 2017 EP Jaguar Palace.  This one actually has a video.
Yeah, that one is cool too.  Both of these EPs are good stuff.  Nothing on here bowls you over, more of like a good slow burn and relaxed heat.  Good stuff.
