Weekend Two Only.

Thoughts: Friday at 11:15 in the morning is a pretty brutal time slot.  Which is honestly too bad, because this guy is good.  Kind of psych rock, in the vein of Strand of Oaks or War on Drugs.  Not a lot of streams for the tunes, but his top tune has 73k streams.  This is "Real Love."
Yeah, pretty good, chilled out rock track.  A little research netted the fact that this guy is the guitarist and one of the vocalists for rad local band The Bright Light Social Hour.  Looks like he put together a solo album, Cosmic Campfire Music, while out on tour with his mates.  The whole album is pretty solid.  It further appears that (1) there is a new version of the TV show Dynasty these days; and (2) this song was used on the show.  Might account for the bump in streams.

His online bio states that he played every instrument on the album.  I know this isn't that abnormal among professional musicians, but it always blows my mind to imagine having that level of proficiency on guitar, drums, bass, and vocals.  Always impressive to me.

The whole album is good stuff - here is a random aside/interlude named after "Marfa," just because I dig the spacey steel guitar action.  Only 5k streams.
And I'll give you one more, again with some spacey synth and longing guitar slides.  THis is "Polestar."
Yeah, man.  I more than likely won't make it out to see this stuff in the morning on Friday, but if I do manage to slag off work that early, lets do it.
